Description
The SPL Crossover Mk2 is a fully analog crossover designed for integrating subwoofers or bass speakers into a serious hi-fi chain without sending the signal back through digital processing. Built around SPL’s 120V VOLTAiR technology, it offers high headroom, very low noise, and a more refined, flexible approach to system tuning than most crossover boxes.
Low-pass and high-pass sections can be set independently, with 18 selectable crossover frequencies from 50 Hz up to 3.6 kHz, switchable 12 dB or 24 dB slopes, a sub-20 Hz low-cut filter, and variable phase control over a full 360°. You can run the low output in mono or stereo, switch the high-pass out entirely for full-range mains, and trim sub level from -10 dB to +10 dB.
Balanced XLR and RCA connections make integration easy, while the feature set makes it just as useful for careful correction as for proper low-end tuning by ear. In typical SPL fashion, it is a technical problem-solver that still feels aimed at listening rather than just measurement.
