Description
TK-lizer 3 builds on the Baxandall circuit topology prized for its smooth, musical sound. With three fully-featured bands, it's built to handle the demands of mixing and mastering alike.
Each of the three bands offers six selectable frequencies, complemented by a 12-position high-pass filter. The low and high bands can be switched between peak and shelving response, and every band has its own dedicated gain control. A built-in cue function lets you monitor Left, Right, Mid, or Side signals independently.
For added flexibility, the unit switches between standard Left/Right and Mid/Side (M/S) operation. Working in M/S mode unlocks a range of creative options — add subtle air to the sides, route the high-pass filter to the side signal to tighten and mono the low end, or reshape stereo width by adjusting the side signal level.
The mid channel controls also let you shape elements that typically sit center-panned — bass, kick, snare, vocals, hi-hats — giving you precise control without needing an external M/S encoder/decoder in your signal chain.
The TK-lizer 3 succeeds the now-discontinued TK-lizer 2, bringing a series of upgrades both inside and out. New bakelite knobs and toggle switches lend it a more vintage aesthetic, while internally it features redesigned input and output circuits, refined EQ circuitry for improved low- and high-end response, and an upgraded M/S circuit for tighter channel separation.
